One down, many more ahead

Ok, I know you are all (all 5 of you who actually read this) thinking finally, a new post. I'm sorry it has been over a month since our last post. You may be thinking 'come on, youre a stay at home mom, you have plenty of time to do this). HA, I have quickly found that being a stay at home mom is no joke, and this mom is one busy lady. There has certainly been alot going on lately, but let's start with the most exciting... As of November 9th, we have added one more to the family as we welcomed our second niece Harper Noelle into the world, and she is adorable!

As for David, He has completed his first semester of seminary! One down, many more ahead. I am so proud of him, He has been extremely busy for the last 3 months and has completely exhausted himself, stopping long enough to eat lunch and get a few hours of sleep, but his hardwork has paid off. He really enjoyed his classes and has learned a great amount, but is definitely excited about having a break. And Gracyn and I are very happy to have daddy home for the mornings! Hopefully the next 2 months will be a time of relaxation, personal study, and much needed family time.

As for myself, I am staying busy. My babysitting commitment was originally going to be over by Mid November, however, I offered to continue until the beginning of January. So my preparation of having 2 kids continues!(Clarification - we do not have another one on the way) It is becoming more challenging now that the weather is not as nice, but it is none the less a treat to pour into the life of another child.

We were able to travel home to the 704 for Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time with the Rhyne family. We drove through the night on Wednesday, leaving KY at 8pm and arriving in NC at 5am after the addition of a 2 hour detour through TN due to an accident blocking off the interstate. Thankfully we are blessed with the best baby, who slept the whole way and still slept til 8:30am on Thursday. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and enjoyed spending time just sitting around the house with family and not doing anything! We were able to catch up with friends and visit Venture for worship Sunday morning before hitting the road. And once again our wonderful baby blessed us with her ability to sleep like crazy.

I must give praise to our Father who never ceases to amaze us with His Perfect Provision. We were surprised with a carepackage (a huge pile consisting of several boxes)from a Sunday school class from Venture. We were shocked at the amount of items given to us, by whom we will never know. It was so encouraging to be reminded that we have brothers and sisters supporting us and most importantly lifting us up in prayer. As I was unpacking and putting all the items away, it was incredible to find so many of the very items that were on my list of things we were running out of and needed to get. Oh, what a wonderful and sovereign God we serve. It is amazing how logically the numbers of income and bills dont add up, but yet we have never gone a minute without. God's provision and timing is perfect.

Thank You Venture Family and Thank you to all of our friends and family who have helped us immensely throughout our journey thus far. We would not be where we are without you. We Thank God for using each one of you in our lives!

Answer to Prayer

2 days before we moved to Louisville, David sold his bronco making us a 1 car family. For the past several months we have been praying that God would provide for us another vehicle. David has been driving the car to work, leaving Gracyn and I stuck at home for most of the day. But after much prayer, we now have another car! God has provided! As always! God is so Faithful and is always right on time! We know several of you have been praying with us, and we thank you for your prayers! God is good!

Thus Far

We offically have a blog, now lets just hope it stays updated. We have started this blog with the intention of keeping in touch with our friends and family who are scattered across the world. We love each of you dearly and wish we could visit and communicate with you more often, so we wish that you will follow our blog as we share the details of our life with you.

Well, lets catch up to date... For the past few years God has been stirring up a desire for seminary in David. He acted on this desire by enrolling for online courses through Liberty University around August of last year. After much thought and prayer, we decided it was not the right time. Then sometime around February of this year we felt the Lord leading us to Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. So the day after Gracyn's 6 week doctor visit we packed the truck and hit the road. Then several hours and 500 miles later, we arrived at our new apartment.

So what are we doing now? Well, David is a full time student at Southern Seminary. He is currently taking Elementary Greek, Intro. to Church History, and Personal Spiritual Disciplines. He is also working full time at Cintas (the uniform company). After a few weeks he was able to drop his hours to about 33 a week, so now he works from 2:30pm to 9:30, Monday thru Friday. So as you're probably thinking, David is a busy guy. I am blessed to be a stay at home mommy and spend my days raising the sweetest little girl in the world. Also, as of 2 weeks ago, I am keeping an 18month old little girl 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday, and yes, I have my hands full.

Gracyn update: In case you somehow missed the fact that we now have a kid, Gracyn Adair Rhyne was born May 26, 2011. She is now 4 months old, weighing in at 13lbs, and is growing every second. She has been rolling over from her stomach to her back for about a month now, and as of last night, she can now roll over from her back to her stomach. She also is eating rice cereal now, and is enjoying it!
